ANOTHER DAY

My new miniature painting - Title: Another Day, Oil on canvas, 8cm x 10cm

This painting shows a view from Manhattan Bridge overlooking NewYork. The scene is painted with a very bright palette to emphasise the joys of a summers day - not just 'ANOTHER DAY' but a magical moment forever captured in paint.

Some of the details in the background have to be viewed through a magnifying glass or enlarged photographically to be seen! As a result this painting proved very challenging to create - putting a lot of strain on my eyes and frustratingly even my 20/0 micro brushes were to large...

This painting alongside four others of mine are now exhibiting in the 125th Royal Miniatures Societies Annual International Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London - 25th November to 5th December 2021. Their's over four hundred miniature works of art on exhibit - executed by some of the worlds leading miniaturists of the day.
